The Bike Campaign | Part-Time Bike Education Program Manager
Position Overview:

Time Bike Education Program Manager who thrives in an independent, self-starting role. As a
key player in our bike education initiative, you’ll leverage your enthusiasm for biking to develop

Key Responsibilities:
● Program Management (70%):
○ Bike Skills Training Program: Seasonal, two half-days per week.
○ Bike Garage: Occasional weekend and evening work required.
○ Program evaluation and improvements.
● Community Engagement (30%):
○ Connecting with schools and community leaders.
○ Building relationships.
○ Facilitating occasional bike clinics at community events.
○ Managing newsletters, the website, and social media.
Qualifications:
● Experience: At least three years of experience in program management, community
outreach, or educational roles, ideally within a school or nonprofit.
● Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent written and verbal
communication abilities, and experience with educational programs. Spanish fluency is a
plus but not required.
● Knowledge: Understanding of bicycle and pedestrian transportation principles, safety
practices, current trends, and relevant laws and community demographics.
● Certifications: Valid Driver’s License required. Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25
pounds.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, software applications, and modern
business equipment. Experience with data management and social media platforms is
advantageous. Basic bike maintenance experience preferred.

sustainability. Committed to community engagement and proactive program
management.
Work Environment:
● Time Commitment: Part-time, 20 hours per week. Work schedules can vary.
● Location: Hybrid within Yolo County (primarily Davis and Woodland), with some
flexibility for remote work. Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work required.
● Equipment: The selected candidate should have a computer and be available by
phone.
● Transportation: Reliable transportation by car and bike is necessary.
